Scope of the Project
San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium is an organization based in San Antonio, Texas that offers medical residencies to military physicians. I had the pleasure of working with one of its anesthesia residents for a graphic design project.
A custom coaster to commemorate the graduating class of SAUSHEC: Anesthesiology Residency program. The set theme for the coaster is a monopoly board with each property space including a reference to the program. My task is to design a signage of the letters “SAUSHEC” for the middle of the monopoly board coaster. The resident I worked with wanted to include common anesthesia tools within each letter and for it to look similar to state greeting cards

Important Takeaways
This was a joint project where I worked on portion of the overall product while the rest was created by another person. Effective communication was very important, and there was times where constructive, detailed critique helped immensely. Ultimately, working as a team takes patience and understanding from all members. If done effectively, the end result is a combination of everyone’s hard work and efforts.
